Requires 1 tbsp butter (~15 g) 2 tbsp sugar 1 pinch salt A couple of drops of vanilla extract 1 egg 4 tbsp plain flour (or, see variants) Choc chips

Let it cool a little before adding everything else. 1 tbsp (about 15 g) butter Mix in: 2 tbsp sugar a pinch of salt a couple of drops of vanilla extract 1 egg Mix in flour. Do not overmix; should be Just combined. 4 tbsp plain flour Add as many chocolate chips as possible / desired / necessary Chocolate chips Microwave till done..? Original suggests 40-60 sec On my old 700W microwave it was like 1 min 25 On my current 900W microwave it's 1 min Once it's out of the microwave, let it continue to cook for a minute or so. Then eat
Notes Great with cream or ice cream. Original recipe asks for only the egg yolk, but you can just put the whole thing in it's fine Better with butter, marg... also works. White sugar is fine. 1 tbsp caster/white and 1 tbsp brown sugar (light or brown) is even better
Variants For a chocolate cookie, substitute 1 tbsp of flour with 1 tbsp cocoa powder. Optionally, loosely mix in melted Nutella with or instead of chocolate chips Original suggests adding anything you can find instead of (or as well as?) choc chips - marshmallows, oreo pieces, smarties, etc.
