Original
Requires
- Plain full-fat yoghurt
- Self-raising flour
- Salt
- Some kind of sweetener (honey is ideal)
- Spices/herbs (whatever)
Instructions
- Mix approx 50:50 (by weight) full-fat yoghurt and self-raising flour, then keep adding flour until it stops being sticky.
- Add a pinch of salt and sweetener (tsp-tbsp range). Add spices/herbs if using (you should be.)
- Leave it aside for a while. Make the rest of your meal.
- Divide the dough into pieces
- Gently stretch each bit of dough into thin pieces on a lightly oiled surface and hands. Should be about 0.5 mm thick.
- Fry in a pan on medium heat (does not need extra oil)
Notes
- About 2/3rds of a 500 g yoghurt container and doughballs of about 4 cm diameter is about enough for me to get. idk, 10-12 breads? Something like that
- Probably possible to do with plain flour - would need to add baking powder (tsp range amount)
- Highly recommend adding garlic flakes + a pinch of garam masala
- These freeze pretty well. When reheating, dry fry them (do not microwave. they go soggy.)
