Requires
- 113 g butter
- about 100 g lard
- 300 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 4 tsp lemon juice
- 344 g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- About 3 tbsp sugar and 3.5 tsp cinnamon for cinnamon sugar coating
Instructions
- Cream together fats and sugar
- Beat in eggs and wet ingredients
- Mix dry ingredients and sift into liquids. Should form a fairly soft dough.
- Make cinnamon sugar:
- Roll dough into small balls and flatten slightly (about 1-2 cm thick, 5 cm wide), coat in cinnamon sugar, and place on a lined baking tray
- Bake for like 9 min at 200 °C. Remove from tray immediately after - will still be soft but will crisp up as they cool.
Notes
- does not taste like lemon.
