Requires
  • 113 g butter
  • about 100 g lard
  • 300 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 tsp lemon juice
  • 344 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • About 3 tbsp sugar and 3.5 tsp cinnamon for cinnamon sugar coating
Instructions
  1. Cream together fats and sugar



  2. Beat in eggs and wet ingredients



  3. Mix dry ingredients and sift into liquids. Should form a fairly soft dough.



  4. Make cinnamon sugar:


  5. Roll dough into small balls and flatten slightly (about 1-2 cm thick, 5 cm wide), coat in cinnamon sugar, and place on a lined baking tray
  6. Bake for like 9 min at 200 °C. Remove from tray immediately after - will still be soft but will crisp up as they cool.

  • does not taste like lemon.
